Zeavola-bound!
We had heard rave reviews about the resort and were very excited to get there. Our expectations were definitely met! The Zeavola was a different concept than the PP Island Village Resort. The resort had sandy pathways and everything was tucked into the natural surroundings. You felt as though you were in the middle of the jungle. Our room was basically all "open-air" except the bedroom which was essentially a glass box where all of the windows, floor to ceiling completely opened if you wanted. There was a closed in shower and toilet, but there was also an outside shower as well. The rooms were far enough from each other that you didn't really notice, but there were automatic bamboo shades that could be rolled down whenever you liked. A short walk down the sandy path from our room, and we were right back on the beautiful beach. The description I am giving just can't do it justice! The downside, however, was the mosquitos! We were given mosquito wipes that worked great and the hotel sprayed frequently (strong stuff- hopefully we can still have babies one day!) Besides the bugs, we loved being emersed right into nature. It felt authentic and peaceful. After much needed relaxation we ended our trip to Phi Phi with a candle-lit dinner on the beach. Heavenly!
Our Room
The view on the beach was stunning. These bean-bag like chairs were the most comfortable things we've ever sat in!
Relaxing pool right in the middle of the natural surroundings.
Drinking out of a fresh cocount! He litterally cut this up right infront of me and blended it with fresh pinapple! Delicious!
Next stop, Bangkok! One more night on our own, then meeting up with the PSS crew!
